Louisiana HB481 (Act 369): Consumer Protections for Users of Crypto ATMs

Amends prior crypto ATM legislation to require clear company contact information and mandate responses to fraud notifications and refund requests within 90 days.

About the Legislation:

To amend Act 369 from the 2025 state session that provides for consumer protections related to Crypto ATMs. Among other things to consider, we would require Crypto ATM company contact information to be clearly provided to customers so they can quickly contact the company in the event of fraud and require such companies to respond to notifications of fraud and refund requests within 90 days of the request for refund.
