How to Submit Your Proposal | Bank Marketing Conference

We are currently accepting speaking proposals for the 2026 ABA Bank Marketing Conference, taking place September 23 – 25, 2026 at the Marriott Austin Downtown, Austin, TX.

How to Submit Your Proposal 

STEP 1: Note Deadline 

The deadline for proposal submission is November 14, 2025

STEP 2: Note Speaker Qualifications 

Selection is based on banker interest, topic recommendations gathered from bankers, degree of original, actionable insight, and speaker quality. Speakers must hold senior-level titles and appropriate technical expertise and be affiliated with an ABA member-eligible bank or Partner Network member. While it is not required, it is recommended to include a banker as a speaker/panelist on your proposed session topic. If at the time of submission you would like to indicate your intent to include a banker as a speaker, but your presenter has not yet been determined, choose "Option 1" and add yourself as the presenter. You can place "Speaker TBD" in the "Title" section. Please also mention the plan for a speaker in the Proposal Session Description area. 

ABA is dedicated to developing the very best educational sessions. Sessions are not designed to sell products or services but instead are an opportunity to demonstrate thought leadership and subject matter expertise on a particular topic(s). Attendees value speakers/sessions that provide thought leadership and practical guidance.   Speakers who overtly market specific solutions will not be invited to return. 

ABA  offers sponsored “Industry Insights” sessions during breakfast and lunch times that may interest you. These sessions are intended to be thought leadership, though provide sponsors the opportunity to add in specific products or services. Please contact Sherri Zetlin for more information. 

STEP 3: Complete the Session Proposal Form

Tips on Submitting a Successful Proposal 

  • Propose a session on a topic of interest that addresses a challenge or opportunity with a new insight, innovative approach or solution (see list below/additional areas of interest will also be considered) 
  • Focus practical, actionable, how-to ideas  
  • Use case studies and real-life examples 
  • Showcase the potential ROI for a banker who acts on your presentation 
  • Include bankers as speakers/panelists, if possible
  • Address and complete all fields in the session proposal form
