(-)Well, good morning, everyone.
My name is Miss Stacy and I am here from Fulton Bank.
(-)We believe that banks
are the cornerstones of their communities.
They help their customers be financially stable.
They also tackle big challenges.
(-)We appreciate you coming out today
and taking part in our presentation.
As community leaders, as bankers,
we need to do more and we need to step it up
and be out there as much as we can.
(-)The ABA Foundation works in partnership with banks
to provide them with the resources, the tools, the campaigns
so they can be impactful within their communities.
(-)Today's presentation is gonna be up by budgeting.
(-)Banks of all sizes can benefit from these programs,
helping people on their financial journey.
(-)I have the best job at the bank,
because I get to come out into our communities
and do fun things like this.
Fulton Bank participates in
the Teach Children to Save Program,
because we believe that financial education
is not only important for adults,
but also important for our youth and children as well.
The ABA Foundation has made it very easy.
The materials are free
and you are not only have a benefit to your bank,
but a benefit to your communities as well.
(-)The campaigns give us an opportunity
to really highlight and lift up those stories
and the impact that we're having
in the communities that we serve.
(-)How much money do I earn and how many expenses do I have?
(-)We've participated for several years
in the Get Smart About Credit Program.
What we really love about it is it provides a way for us
to close financial gaps in our community.
(-)We want to make it easy to gain financial confidence
by providing access to tools and workshops
to really help them for their future.
(Speaker)Money doesn't grow on trees, but it can grow.
(-)So, Park National Bank has been participating
in Lights Camera Save since 2012.
We saw it as a great opportunity for us to take programming
that was already constructed and provided to us
and go in and engage our local schools.
The ABA Foundation makes it extremely easy to participate.
(-)Teaching kids about the Lights Camera Save project,
it's exciting for them to get real hands-on work experience.
Also, while they're learning about finances.
(-)It's really rewarding to see somebody
within our community get recognized at this national level.
This can be a life-changing event for this young man.
(-)If your gut is telling you something's off,
it probably is.
That Safe Banking for Seniors program
is such a great resource.
There's so many just print and go items
that you can take out and educate your communities.
(-)We have a lot of seniors,
especially the community that I live in.
A lot of times those are sometimes
the most vulnerable people in our customer base
that all too often they're the victims.
(-)We want your safety to be the number one thing
that we're looking out for.
(-)It's heartbreaking and that's where you really see
how important this financial education
is in our communities.
Because without it, their hard-earned dollars,
years of work just goes right out the door
and you think, you know what?
I'm gonna give them a tool to keep that from happening.
(-)If you're not involved in ABA Foundation,
you should get involved.
(-)The ABA Foundation enables us to provide an opportunity
for our employees to hone their own skills.
So, when you talk about professional development,
when you talk about being able to teach others,
to serve others, those are all skills
that are important in our day-to-day job.
(-)You are not only educating yourself,
you're educating your staff,
you're educating your communities,
and the stronger as bankers we can make our communities,
the stronger we all are together as well.
(-)This is why we exist at the ABA Foundation
and we need to expand our reach.
We want every banker to have this experience
where they are inspired, they're energized,
and they're equipped to do
this good work in their community.
