About the Legislation:

This bill authorizes financial service providers to delay or refuse transactions involving suspected exploitation of vulnerable adults, including short-term holds (5 days, extendable to 15 with law enforcement), and allows additional actions to prevent or detect fraud. Note: Trusted list passed last session. The bill will likely to die in the Senate (Senate Committee Chair opposes a pause on any transaction).
