Next Tuesday/Wednesday Livestreams: ABA’s Nichols, Treasury’s Bessent, FDIC’s Travis Hill, Sens. Scott and Gallego, Rep. French Hill to Address ABA’s Washington Summit

WASHINGTON —

ABA President and CEO Rob Nichols, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, FDIC Acting Chairman Travis Hill, Senate Banking Committee Chairman Tim Scott, Senate Banking Committee member Ruben Gallego and House Financial Services Committee Chairman French Hill will address bank leaders from across the country at the American Bankers Association’s Washington Summit next week at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C. ABA will livestream conference general sessions next Tuesday, April 8 and Wednesday, April 9 beginning at approximately 8:30 a.m. ET on its X handle @ABABankers.

The event will kick off on Tuesday with a welcome from ABA’s Rob Nichols before he joins House Financial Services Committee Chairman French Hill in a fireside chat. Tuesday will conclude with sessions featuring FDIC Acting Chairman Travis Hill and Senate Banking Committee Chairman Tim Scott.

The livestream on Wednesday will begin with remarks from Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent followed by a conversation between Sec. Bessent and Nichols. Following Sec. Bessent’s appearance will be fireside chats featuring House Budget Committee Chairman Jodey Arrington and Sen. Ruben Gallego in conversation with ABA leaders.

The streams will also include a session updating attendees on the industry’s fight against fraud and a panel featuring member bank CEOs. 

Additional speakers could still be added to the agenda.
